Since 2010, the Saturday between Black Friday and Cyber Monday has been dedicated "Small Business Saturday" in an effort to help boost local economies and preserve the businesses that bring charm, identity and prosperity to our neighborhoods. According to the US Small Business Administration, small businesses are responsible for 62% of net new jobs created since 1995, representing 99.7% of firms with paid employees. Now more than ever, these businesses need our support.

With the holiday season official underway, Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board are encouraging all to once again join us in supporting small local businesses, by kicking-off your holiday shopping this Small Business Saturday, November 26th.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our Town, providing jobs, adding value, and helping to define the communities we call home.” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter. "In Islip Town we are so fortunate to have a variety of shops and restaurants who enrich our community by making it their home. Do your part to help these local merchants thrive by shopping small during the 2022 holiday season, and continue to shop locally throughout the year,” added the Supervisor.
Join us the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26th, for Small Business Saturday, and remember to Shop Small throughout the year.
