A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

Breeze Airways Doubles Returning Service from Islip to Vero Beach

Vero Beach

Breeze Airways, the premium leisure low-cost carrier offering point-to-point service from 58 U.S. destinations, today announced that its returning service from Islip to Vero Beach will double to four times weekly from October.

Also, Breeze is introducing the “Triple Threat” campaign offering 35%* off roundtrip base fares using the promo code ‘TRIPLE’ at checkout by Friday at 11:59pm PT on www.flybreeze.com or on the Breeze app, for travel from August 14 through February 4, 2025. The campaign celebrates Breeze’s high scores in Comfort, Service and Value from the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine as the carrier is again named Top 5 U.S. Domestic Airline for the third consecutive year in the magazine’s World’s Best Awards.

From Long Island/Islip, NY to:

  • Vero Beach, FL (Expanding to 4x weekly, Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat, starting October 2).

"When Breeze Airways launched nonstop flights between Islip and Vero Beach in December of last year, it felt like a very special present for all of Long Island," said Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. "Now it feels like the holidays all over again…in July…with more service between ISP and Vero Beach coming in early October," she added. "The Town Board and I are thrilled to welcome this doubling in frequency of Vero Beach service to and from Long Island MacArthur Airport on Breeze Airways," Carpenter added.

"MacArthur Airport is the only airport in the New York City area offering nonstop flights to Florida's Treasure Coast. Adding service four times weekly with affordable fares is a game changer for Long Island residents with family and vacation homes in Vero Beach, visitors to Long Island, and travelers looking for a fun and easy way to get to a gorgeous stretch of Florida with 'Seriously Nice' Breeze Airways service," said Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken. "We've been preparing and improving the airport to welcome these new service announcements, and are thrilled to offer more options between Vero Beach and MacArthur Airport," she added.

“We saw tremendous demand from Islip to Vero Beach last winter,” said Breeze Airways’ CEO David Neeleman. “So I’m thrilled to announce today that we’re now doubling this year’s service from twice weekly to four flights from Islip, joining our flights to Vero from Westchester, Hartford and Providence from October.”
