Holiday Collection Change Reminders

As we approach the end of the 2024 year and prepare for 2025, please be aware of the following collection reminders:

  • Fall Unlimited Yard Waste: collection has ended, sanitation crews will resume yard waste collection with your regular garbage. Up to 6 bags, pails, or bundles of yard waste under 50 lbs. and no larger than 4’x2’x2’ will be collected with your garbage on your regular scheduled collection days.

  • Christmas Recycling Collection: The regularly scheduled recycling collection that would fall on Christmas Day will instead occur on Saturday, December 28th. Sanitation crews will collect paper, cardboard, electronic-waste and bulk metal items. Please have all materials to the curb for collection prior to 6:00a.m.

  • New Year's Day Recycling Collection: The regularly scheduled recycling collection that would fall on New Year’s Day will instead occur on Saturday, January 4th. Sanitation crews will collect plastics, glass, metal cans, electronic-waste and bulk metal items. Please have all materials to the curb for collection prior to 6:00a.m.

  • Winter Unlimited Yard Waste and Christmas Trees: will be collected separately from regular garbage during the following two weeks. Please remove all ornaments, lights and stands from Christmas trees. Have all materials to the curb prior to 6:00a.m. on Thursday, January 2nd and Thursday, January 9th for collection on either Thursday or Friday. For residents that live in the areas of the Town that have collection using the black 90-gallon garbage pail, the unlimited yard waste and Christmas tree collection will begin next week on January 6th and the materials will be collected on your first regular garbage day of the week.
