January 9th, 2020 – Beginning on January 16, and continuing Thursdays throughout the winter, grade crossing renewal work will take place on the Montauk Branch, between Babylon and Patchogue. Work details are as follows:
- The LIRR will continue grade crossing renewal work on the Montauk Branch from Babylon and Patchogue.
- Work at each crossing will take place on Thursdays between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Each grade crossing will be closed to vehicular traffic for one day.
- While the work is in progress, MTA Police will assist with crossing closure and traffic detours.
