Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Public Health Crisis, we were unable to recognize our Student Achievement recipients in our normal fashion at last month’s Town Board meeting.
Historically, our recipients, their families and very often the school superintendent, principals and teachers would be there too.
All of our students have by now received their certificates for their achievements.
During our LIVE-streamed April Town Board meeting, I read the names of each Student Achievement recipient, and the category in which they were honored. On behalf of all the members of the Town Board, we congratulate each and every one of you for your accomplishments. We are so very proud of you.
This has been a rough senior year for so many of you, but we know that your futures are so very bright, and we wish you the very best, and congratulate you for your hard work and dedication to academics and the community.
Your efforts have earned you this recognition, and is a testament to your commitment to mathematics, science, social studies, technology, leadership, secondary language, service to people in need, secondary language, language arts, fine arts, performing arts and scholarship and athletics. Congratulations! – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter
