May 5th, 2020 – The Long Island Railroad has scheduled rehabilitation work at the Islip Ave Rail Crossing. To complete grade crossing rehabilitation and in response to community concern, urgent paving work is scheduled on the LIRR's Montauk Branch in the following area:
ISLIP, TOWN OF ISLIP –Islip Avenue (Route 111)
Thursday, May 8 to Friday, May 9 between 6:00PM and 8:00AM
- LIRR will be conducting urgent paving at Islip Avenue Grade Crossing and will be closed to road traffic.
- During those hours vehicles will use Commack Road/Nassau Avenue for alternate access.
