A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” - Angie

January 26th, 2021 North Atlantic Industries, Inc. (NAI), a leading supplier of embedded computing solutions and power supplies, announced an expansion of its presence in the Town of Islip with a new facility and global headquarters. According to NAI representatives, a partnership with the Islip Industrial Development Agency and Empire State Development has enabled NAI to double down on its commitment to growth in the region.

Preparation is now underway to relocate to the 90,000 sq. ft. Bohemia facility, with plans to occupy the space by June 2021. The recently acquired facility results in an 80% increase in the company’s physical presence in New York State. The additional space enables the expansion of NAI's engineering, production, test and quality and assembly and manufacturing operations. It will also permit these functions to be housed under one roof, with sales and marketing, HR, IT and the leadership team.

“We recognize that aerospace is a key sector in our economy, and we are pleased that North Atlantic Industries has decided to grow their business here in Islip,” said John Walser, Executive Director, Town of Islip Industrial Development Agency.

“The Town of Islip IDA can help businesses remain and grow, here in Islip. The NAI expansion is a shining example of that,” said Islip Supervisor, Angie Carpenter.

NAI has built a reputation for supporting the world’s most demanding defense, commercial aerospace and industrial applications. The first-class facility allows NAI to build on this foundation with more R&D to scale NAI’s Configurable Open Systems Architecture™ (COSA®) and to leverage NAI’s vertically integrated design, manufacturing and verification capabilities to Accelerate our customer’s Time-to-Mission™.

“Our uniquely modular approach has caught the attention of industry leaders,” said Lino Massafra, VP of Sales and Marketing. “Now with the space to add resources, our customers will be amazed at the breadth and scale of problems that can be solved with our versatile COSA® approach.”

NAI’s growth also sees the company looking for bright, motivated individuals – including qualified undergraduate and graduate student interns – to join our team, contribute new ideas and thrive in our fast-paced, tech-focused environment. To learn more about these opportunities, please visit
