March 18th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by members of the East Islip Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the Islip Town Board, at the second annual Town Hall cupola lighting marking St. Patrick's Day.
Meagan Ulrich, a St. Anthony's High School senior, played the bagpipes during the occasion.

"Although COVID is still a factor in our lives, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am delighted that we are able to gather together safely today and recognize our Irish culture, and am hopeful that next year, we will once again resume our community parades and festivities," said the Supervisor.Town officials presented the Ancient Order of Hibernians with a Citation recognizing the Town's Irish American heritage.
