July 2nd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilman John Cochrane and Councilman James O’Connor recently joined members of the American Legion Rusy-Bohm Post 411 to commemorate the restoration and rededication of the Vietnam Memorial Garden located outside Islip Town Hall West.

The revitalization of the garden included the installation of new flag poles to honor all branches of military service. Officials from the Town of Islip assisted in the installation of the flag poles.“These dedicated teenagers are the future of our country. Through their dedicated fundraising and perseverance, and the unwavering partnership with the Town, this memorial garden will be a place for the community to visit for many years to come,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
The Vietnam Memorial Garden is located in the front of Islip Town Hall West, 401 Main St., Islip, NY.
