July 2nd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Veteran Navy Captain Councilman John Cochrane attended the annual Fourth of July Barbecue hosted by the United Veterans Beacon House in Bay Shore. The event honors veterans for their service and provides an opportunity for socializing. Beacon House offers employment opportunities, housing and counseling services to veterans from all branches of the United States Military.
“As we celebrate Independence Day, we are reminded of the profound sacrifices made by the brave men and women who served our country. We are grateful to organizations like United Veterans Beacon House and Councilman Cochrane’s office who provide services that are essential to veterans’ quality of life.” said Supervisor Carpenter.
The United Veterans Beacon House is located at 1715 Union Blvd., Bay Shore.
