July 7th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter met with members of Central Islip Connect for Change to present them with Town of Islip Certificates of Appreciation on behalf of the Town Board, for their efforts to beautify the grounds of the Central Islip Recreation Center. The group constructed planter boxes, and planted flowers around the Recreation Center welcome sign.

“We have many groups and organizations here in our Town that take pride in their community. We are grateful to our dedicated volunteers who devote their time to beautifying the hamlets in which they live,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.

Supervisor Carpenter and the members of CI Connect for Change were joined by Town of Islip Commissioner, Parks, Recreation, Cultural Affairs and DPW, Tom Owens.
