July 9th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter visited Empire Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in West Islip to present one of their employees with a Citation of Recognition for his heroic lifesaving efforts. Fignole Cosmeus, Jr. having witnessed his co-worker experience a medical emergency, jumped swiftly into action. Cosmeus immediately called 911 and followed the dispatcher’s instructions, maintaining continuous CPR until paramedics could arrive on scene to administer further care.

“Fignole’s immediate, level-headed demeanor, and willingness to preform life-saving aid without second thought, is nothing short of heroic,” said Supervisor Carpenter.
