July 14th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilman James O’Connor attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest Lidl location in Islip. This is the discount grocery store’s 20th location on Long Island and second in the Town of Islip. The opening featured a DJ, raffles and a food truck. Over 100 people waited in line to enter the store.

“It’s nice to see a grocery store so close to Islip Town Hall again. For the longest time this building was empty, and now, its bustling with shoppers,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.

The newest store for Lidl is located at 155 Islip Ave., Islip, NY.
