August 17th, 2021 –Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Owens met with students from the Sachem School District’s Extended School Year program for Sachem Share Day. Sachem Share Day is hosted by the Wet Pants Sailing Association at the Sayville Marina, and is an opportunity for students to improve their socialization skills and learn how to sail. Sachem students also enjoyed games, a scavenger hunt, a dance party and corn hole.
