November 23rd, 2021 – Families across the Town of Islip will enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner this year, made possible through the efforts of Islip Food for Hope, generous donations from various Town departments, local businesses and the office of the Town of Islip Supervisor. This year, over 800 turkeys and “Boxes of Love” were distributed at Casamento Park in West Islip. The boxes contain all the necessary ingredients to make a holiday dinner, including stuffing, yams, green beans, cranberry sauce and apple and pumpkin pies.

“After more than a year of unprecedented challenges and separation from our loved ones, families will come together to celebrate the holidays,” said Supervisor Carpenter. “Each year, we’re able to help more and more families, thanks to the combined efforts of our community and our employees.
