December 9th, 2021 –
Town of Islip employees went above and beyond this holiday season, generously giving to the 2021 Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Town staff adopted more than 60 “Angels,” and carefully selected toys, bicycles, dolls, clothing, games and more from each child’s wish list. Gifts were bundled, labeled and taken back to Salvation Army headquarters in Northport, where they’ll be distributed to families in need.
“Each holiday season, our staff are eager to select their angels, and I am always deeply moved by their continued generosity,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year for a child, and children deserve to have gifts under the tree, regardless of financial circumstances. This year more than ever, families need our help, and we’re so grateful to the Salvation Army for the opportunity to make Christmas a joyous one,” said the Supervisor.
