March 4th, 2022 – Islip Town employees raised funds for cardiac health and research during February, Heart Health month, by wearing red and donating $5 to the cause. Supervisor Angie Carpenter presented a check on behalf of the members of the Islip Town Board and town employees, to the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation. The funds raised will be used for cardiology research and services.
“We are truly grateful to our dedicated and caring Town employees, who throughout the year, step up and give back to our community for heart health, breast cancer research and opioid awareness and recovery, to name just a few. Every dollar raised is crucial to providing life-saving treatment and advancing research in all medical fields,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
Joining Supervisor Carpenter were Justin Jaycon, Director, Public and Community Relations, Good Samaritan Hospital; Dennis Verzi, COO of Catholic Health and Joseph Iacona.
