April 15th, 2022 – The West Islip Little League organization held its Opening Day ceremony recent. Hundreds of families turned out for the event, which had been halted in recently years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The kids enjoyed face painting, bouncers, and showcasing their banners during the parade.

"Welcome back to the West Islip Little League's Opening Day," said Islip Supervisor, Angie Carpenter. "It is such a thrill to be on the field again with our players and their families, and we wish you a fun-filled season. Play ball!," added the Supervisor.
