May 11th, 2022 – The Town of Islip annually honors those seniors who selflessly volunteer on a regular basis at its various centers. These seniors function as the welcoming committee, the activities and special events aids, the Bingo callers, and the kitchen assistants, performing tasks to help carry out events, activities and nutrition programs. In addition, these volunteers instill positivity within the center, while lending a helping hand to the staff, and encouraging members, guests and visitors, whenever possible.
