June 14th, 2022 – June 14th is America’s Flag Day, when we celebrate the Second Continental Congress’s adoption of the first U.S. national flag in 1777.

WATCH NOW: Flag Day Ceremony at Commack Rd. Elementary School

On this special day, we commemorate that historic event, and recognize the 245 years of patriotic weight and meaning behind those stars and stripes.

Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilman John Cochrane and Commack Rd. Elementary School teachers, staff and students participated in a Flag Day ceremony at Commack Rd. Elementary School.
