May 3rd, 2019- Town of Islip DPW crews recently began prepping Brookwood Hall Park in East Islip for the installation of new playground equipment. The park, a toddler favorite, will receive two bounce toys, swings, an inclusive spinner and a seesaw.
Additionally, the grounds of Keith Lane Park in West Islip are being prepped for the installation of an entirely new playground. The prior playground was recently removed to make way for the new configuration.
The improvements at Brookwood Hall Park and Keith Lane Park are part of a long-term Town-wide park improvement initiative launched by Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter in 2015. "One of my first priorities when I took office was to develop a comprehensive approach to enhancing the recreational facilities throughout the Town," said Supervisor Carpenter. "Residents will see new inclusive equipment added to their already existing playground or, an entirely new playground installed," said the Supervisor.
Parks in Brentwood, Islip, West Islip, Bay Shore, West Sayville and Sayville will see enhancements in the coming months.
