July 26th, 2022 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Councilman John Cochrane, Jr. and Krupa Lauricella, Legislative Aide to Councilman James P. O’Connor at the unveiling of renovations to the Town Hall West Park in Islip. The renovations were completed by the Town’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department as part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to update recreation equipment throughout the Town.

Renovations included the installation of a new, more durable and modern basketball court, along with a state-of-the-art ADA approved playground equipment and turf.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to ensure safe and updated recreational spaces throughout the Town. We are delighted to see residents enjoying these improved spaces once again,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
Town Hall West Park is located at 401 Main St. Islip and is FREE to use for all residents.
Also in attendance were Parks and Recreation Commissioner Thomas Owens and Deputy Parks and Recreation Commissioner Deirdre Wahlberg.
