September 2nd, 2022 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Commissioner of Aviation Shelley LaRose Arken greeted medical interns from Good Samaritan Hospital recently during the interns' site visit to Long Island MacArthur Airport.

At the visit, the SCPD Aviation Unit provided a detailed tour of the Medevac Helicopter used to transport critical patients to local hospitals. The interns were also briefed by the Airport Fire Rescue Chief regarding Long Island MacArthur Airport's emergency response plans, as well as introduced to the emergency equipment available on site by Fire and Rescue Department members.
