December 6th, 2022 – Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter attended a press conference today at Long Island MacArthur Airport reminding residents to "Get Real."

Supervisor Carpenter was joined by Mark J.F. Schroeder, Commissioner, New York State DMV; Robert Duffy, TSA Federal Security Director; and Airport Commissioner, Shelley LaRose Arken. The topic was Get Real ID License, the enhanced New York State drivers license and identification cards.
The enforcement deadline has been extended to May, 2025.
