Good Samaritan University Hospital, a member of Catholic Health, has donated the meals alongside the launch of a senior’s nutrition outreach series, which will focus on health and lifestyle education to support overall well-being. The 1,125 meals will be served during the seminars to demonstrate and encourage healthy eating choices.
“We are grateful to Good Samaritan Hospital for partnering with us to enhance care for Islip’s Seniors,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “Nutrition can often be a confusing topic, especially in an age of so many competing ‘eat this, not that’ philosophies. This series will go far in providing our residents with the most optimal ways to eat, stay active, and live a healthier lifestyle. Our Town’s seniors are in good hands,” the Supervisor added.
