March 28th, 2023 – West Islip residents welcomed a newly installed playground on Carnation Ave, thanks to the Town of Islip's Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
Councilman John Cochrane; Commissioner Tom Owens; Deputy Commissioner Deirdre Wahlberg; Supervisor Angie Carpenter and residents cut the ribbon for the new playground under bright, sunny skies.
"One of my first priorities when I took office was to replace the outdated playground equipment in our parks, and I am pleased to say, that objective has nearly been met," said Supervisor Carpenter.
