April 27th, 2023 –The talented and creative winners of the Town of Islip's annual Earth Day Poster Contest were announced this week and honored with prizes for their artwork. The event is made possible through the Town of Islip DEC partnership with COVANTA, a leader in environmental innovation dedicated to helping business and communities capitalize on the benefits of zero waste-to-landfull. Prizes included Barnes and Noble gift cards, Nook tablets and more, all provided by COVANTA.
"These creative and bright young minds are our future leaders," said Islip Supervisor, Angie Carpenter. "We applaud them for their commitment to helping the environment and look forward to seeing what they achieve in the coming years," added the Supervisor.

Prize: Nook Tablet and a $250 Gift Certificate for the school.
