April 28th, 2023 – Representatives from the Town of Islip’s Planning Department and Environmental Control were invited to join staff and students at East Islip High School for STEAM Day.

The Career Day type event gave students the opportunity to learn more about the many careers in STEAM related fields. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was on hand for the event, where she encouraged children to explore a career in public service. “This is a wonderful opportunity for students to research careers in STEAM related fields, including planning, development and engineering, right here in the Town of Islip,” said the Supervisor.
