May 24th, 2023 – The Town of Islip enjoys a robust Nutrition Program for its elderly population. The Suffolk County Office for the Aging recognizes the demand and popularity of this program and as a result, designated funds in its 2020 Suffolk County Operating Budget for the Town of Islip to purchase a van to assist in the delivery of nutrition services to the Town’s elderly residents.

“Good nutrition is essential to good health, both mentally and physically. This van will enable the Town to deliver these and other services to our homebound elderly,” said Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter.
