May 24th, 2023 – Keep Islip Clean, together with Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Environmental Council presented three Islip students with the Charles Pulaski Environment Scholarship.
The recently revived Charles Pulaski Environment Scholarship is available through Keep Islip Clean, and is presented to graduating high school seniors attending school within the Town of Islip who will be pursuing studies in environmental science or a related discipline, or, who have demonstrated a sensitivity to the environment through leadership/participation in pro-environmental programs such as recycling, land conservancy, environmental cleanup projects, etc.
“Here in the Town of Islip, we have many environmentally conscious students who are identifying studies in environmental science. We are grateful to KIC and to ITEC for restoring this vital scholarship, and for encouraging students to continue on this worthy path,” said Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter.
