June 14th, 2024 – The Town of Islip is fortunate to have some of the finest schools, filled with tremendously talented students and athletes.
Joining Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter and members of the Town Board at the June Town Board meeting were the outstanding players and coaches of the East Islip Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Team.
The East Islip Redmen recently clinched their first Suffolk County Class B Lacrosse Championship in a remarkable fashion. With a commanding 12-5 victory over Smithtown West, the team showcased their exceptional skill and teamwork.
Under the leadership of Coach Tom Zummo, the Redmen's speed, vision, and flawless execution were on full display, leading them to their first county title. After coming so close last year, this victory is a testament to their dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence.
“Please join me in congratulating East Islip High School’s Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse on their historic season and championship win,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
