September 19th, 2024 – Town of Islip employees dressed in purple to bring attention to New York State Overdose Awareness Day, September 19th as well as to shine a spotlight on September, National Recovery Month.

During the month of September, hamlets across the Town participate in Islip Goes Purple, a month-long campaign focusing on recovery, prevention and awareness.
