November 14th, 2024 – Long Island MacArthur Airport officials welcomed Trisko, a 2-year-old Golden Retriever-Labrador mix to the airport family this week. Trisko and his partner, Suffolk County Police Officer Eric DiPrima are assigned exclusively to Long Island MacArthur Airport. Trisko was donated by Canine Companions and recently completed three months of training in explosives detection.

"Operations at MacArthur Airport have grown steadily in recent years. Trisko will boost passenger safety and confidence as the airport continues to expand," said Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter.
