– Town of Islip employees went above and beyond this holiday season, giving generously to the 2024 Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Town staff adopted more than 60 “Angels,” and carefully selected toys, bicycles, dolls, games and more from each child’s wish list. Gifts were bundled, labeled and taken back to Salvation Army headquarters in Northport, where they’ll be distributed to families in need.“I am incredibly proud of our Town of Islip employees, who every year go above and beyond to make the holiday season magical for children in need. Their kindness and dedication brought joy to more than 60 children, and truly embodies the spirit of giving and the strength of our community,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
If you would like to help make a child’s holiday special, the Town’s Youth Bureau is currently collecting toys for its annual Toy Drive. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at Town Hall, located at 655 Main St., Islip and Town Hall West, located at 401 W. Main St., Islip.
