December 20th, 2024 – The Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms continue to set new standards of excellence in high school athletics. Their remarkable journey reached unprecedented heights, with an astounding 34 consecutive victories spanning more than three years. This exceptional team logged over 1,100 days without a defeat, demonstrating unprecedented dominance in Suffolk County football.

This season, under the outstanding leadership of Coach Mike Zafonte, the top-seeded Phantoms secured their third consecutive Suffolk Division IV Championship with a commanding 49-21 victory over Miller Place at Stony Brook's LaValle Stadium.

The team's success is built on exceptional talent across the board and led the Phantoms to their third consecutive Long Island Class IV Championship game, carrying forward a legacy of excellence that has made them not just champions, but standard-bearers for high school athletics in our region.
