October 25th, 2019 Nine small businesses in the Town of Islip were recognized during the EDC's 2019 Small Business Awards ceremony at Trio at Holbrook Country Club this week.

Master of Ceremonies, William Mannix, CEcD, Director, paid tribute to the small businesses for recognizing the value in doing business in the Town of Islip, and, for their contributions to the local economy.

Councilman John Cochrane, Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen and Councilman James O'Connor, along with Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, presented awards to 8 of the 9 recipients. The final award was presented by EDC Commission Member Rick Ammirati, Executive Director, Our Place Newspapers.

The 2019 award recipients were: Tony's Pizza & Restaurant in Brentwood; My Little Rascals, Islip; The Chowder Bar, Bay Shore; Sayville Ferry Service, Sayville; Sincerely Yours Events, Inc., Bayport; Advanced Epoxy Flooring, Bohemia; Doodle Dog Graphics, Islip Terrace; Joseph Gabriel, AIA Architects, Holbrook and Harvest Power, LLC, Islip Terrace.
