November 27th, 2019 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter has announced that parking will be FREE in all of Bay Shore’s parking lots beginning Thursday, November 28th through New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2020. The FREE parking kicks-off on November 28th, in conjunction with “Small Business Saturday,” and will apply to all metered parking in Bay Shore, including the back lots.

“Small Business Saturday” is a national movement reminding all to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost local economies and help preserve local downtowns.

“I encourage everyone to shop your local small business this Saturday, November 30th, and to continue to ‘shop small’ throughout the holiday season and New Year,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “Small businesses are the backbone of our communities, accounting for nearly 50% of all employees in the private sector, and are instrumental in capturing the unique charm and service that define the downtown shopping experience,” she added.
