January 17th, 2020 – Town Councilman John Cochrane teamed up with local agencies to provide relief to earthquake stricken Puerto Rico this week.

The councilman joined with Maidaya Maldonado of Adelante of Suffolk County and Anu Arnold of FREE-Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, to organize donations intended for victims impacted by the devastation in Puerto Rico.

"New York is home to more than 1.1 million Puerto Ricans, and their families need our help," said Councilman John Cochrane.

On Saturday, January 25th, Adelante will be accepting donations at their office located at 10 Third Ave., Brentwood, NY 11717 from 10 am to 2 pm. Residents are asked to bring any of the following suggested items: bottled water, First Aid Kits, hygiene products, diapers for children and adults, baby food, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries new underwear, socks, clean blankets, pet food, paper towels and toilet paper.
