February 11th, 2020 – Islip Receiver of Taxes Alexis Weik and her staff recently completed CPR/AED training. The effort was coordinated by Arthur Abbate, Director of Labor Relations and Personnel and Jennifer Crossley, Town of Islip Safety Officer. The training took place in early February, during Heart Health month.

"These simple steps can save a loved one easily, but without proper training, can seem too scary to attempt." said Alexis Weik, Receiver of Taxes. "Arthur and Jennifer taught this class in such a comprehensive manner, that we all left the class with a comfortable knowledge that we could, if need be, save a life. There is no one who would not benefit from taking this course and acquiring these skills. I am grateful to Arthur and Jennifer for training not only my office staff, but so many other town employees. They truly help to make our community a better, safer place to live," added Ms. Weik.
