A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

February 12th, 2020 Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Town Board, celebrated Black History Month at the February Town Board meeting, by recognizing residents who contribute to their community through volunteerism or their professions.

Town officials honored Suffolk County Police Officer, Brandon Bell of the 3rd Precinct in Bay Shore.

Officer Bell joined the Suffolk County Police Department in 2006, and has been with the 3rd precinct ever since. He has served on patrol in the department’s Community Support Unit and is currently an investigator in the precinct’s Crime Section.

Officer Bell is a quiet professional, who has earned the respect of both his colleagues and his supervisors. "He is a dedicated employee who has made many contributions to his community, and who is worthy of recognition by the Town," said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
