April 15th, 2020 – Sheila Solomon and Randy Levy tied the knot and their protective face masks Tuesday, on the steps of Town Hall! The bride and groom were joined by loving family and friends who adhered to social distancing protocols during the ceremony.
Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter officiated under beautiful sunny skies.
The ceremony included the Breaking of the Glass, which symbolizes the absolute finality of the marital covenant in the Jewish faith.
"Congratulations to the newlyweds," said Supervisor Carpenter. "Weddings symbolize unity and a new beginning, and are in these difficult times of COVID-19, the inspiration we need as we stand together as a community, and look with hope to the future," added the Supervisor.
