The Town of Islip Public Safety Harbormasters, Park Rangers, and Marina Guards will patrol marinas and encourage attendees to maintain social distancing. Residents are advised to wear a face covering when they are unable to maintain social distancing.
Marinas & Boat Launch Ramps:
- Effective today, Monday, April 20, 2020, all Town boat launch ramps and marinas are open.
- For marina and dock information, and to pick up permit decals, please call Marinas & Docks at 631-224-5648. Since our buildings are closed to the public, boaters must call to review information and make an appointment to pick up decals.

- Launch permits remain available via mail-in application, which can be found on the Town website.
- Per Executive Order and ESD Essential Business Guidance, marina facilities must adhere to strict social distancing and sanitization protocols. The Town will be posting signage at facilities reminding boaters to practice social distancing and wear face masks. Atlantique Marina is currently scheduled to open May 22nd as originally planned. Atlantique permit applications will be available online later today.
- The Town is seeking additional guidance based on the wording of the Governor’s recent executive order.
- We are developing practical procedures on how to safely and responsibly reopen golf courses.
