August 5th, 2020 – Families turned out by the carload to enjoy an old-fashioned Drive-In Movie at Roberto Clemente Park in Brentwood Monday night. Monday's show was Lego Movie. The outdoor event is part of the ongoing Monday Night Drive-In Movie Night series presented by the Town of Islip Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
The Drive-In movies are presented at various parks and sites within the Town through early September, and are sponsored by Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island.
The Monday Night Drive-In Movie Nights are popular among families and children of all ages. Food Trucks are on site for snacks or a meal. "It's a fun evening in fresh air, under the stars, and it's socially distanced," said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
