Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined staff of the Town's Fire Marshal's office and Public Safety office, at a "walk out" celebrating the retirement of Fire Marshall II Dan Karl. Dan has been with the Fire Marshal's office since 2010. He was promoted to his current rank of Fire Marshal II in December of 2018. He has represented the Fire Marshal’s Office in 5th District Court for 5+years, has served in the role of Safety Officer for the Town during major events. He has been a member of the Sayville Fire Department for 18+ years.
"Congratulations to Fire Marshal Dan Karl on his retirement," said Supervisor Carpenter. "On behalf of the members of the Town Board and the residents of our Town, we are grateful for your service and we wish you all the best in this new chapter," added the Supervisor.
Supervisor Carpenter was joined by Public Safety Commissioner, Anthony D'Amico and Deputy Commissioner, Tony Prudenti, among others.
