Notice is hereby given that the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning has received an application from an existing Leaseholder, requesting to relocate from its 10-acre shellfish aquaculture lease site in Great Peconic Bay to a 10-acre lease site Little Peconic Bay. Pursuant to Local Law 25-2009, A Local Law Establishing the Suffolk County Shellfish Aquaculture Lease Program in Peconic Bay and Gardiners Bay (Article II of the Suffolk County Code, §475), leaseholders may request the relocation of their leasehold interest for any reason up to two times during the tenn of the lease. Please note that while this leaseholder has selected and applied for two potential relocation sites, following the site approval process, they will be selecting only one site for relocation. Having already received a lease under a Lease Application Cycle #3, this relocation will not impact on the Annual Acreage Cap. members and members of the public will have the option to either log into the video conference or listen in via ZOOM.
